These are the terms for buying from this shop. By placing an order, you’re agreeing to them. I’ve kept them as short and plain as I could, which is not how these usually go.
Who you’re buying from
This shop, shop.portermason.com, is run by me, Porter Mason. When these terms say “I” or “me,” that’s who they mean. You can reach me at shop@portermason.com.
Your order
After you order, you’ll get a confirmation email. That means I have your order. If something’s gone wrong with it, such as an item that’s run out or a price I got wrong, I’ll tell you and refund what you paid for that item. You can also ask me to cancel an order before it ships.
You need to be 18 or older to order, or have a parent or guardian do it with you. For now, the shop only takes U.S. orders, PDFs included. Outside the U.S.? Check out my Patreon shop.
Some items are limited editions. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Prices and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Any tax and shipping are added at checkout, and you’ll see the total before you pay. Payments go through Stripe. Prices can change, but not on an order you’ve already placed.
Shipping and refunds
How shipping, returns and refunds work is on the Refunds and returns page. That page is part of these terms.
What you can do with a PDF
When you buy a PDF, you’re buying a copy for yourself, not the rights to what’s in it. You can:
- Read it on any of your own devices.
- Print it for yourself and your family.
- Print the activity packs as often as your kids need. If you’re a teacher, you can print them for your own classroom.
Please don’t post a PDF online, send it around, sell it or put its contents in something of your own. Each one is a good chunk of my life, and this is how I get paid for it.
Copyright
All the comics, art and writing in this shop are mine and protected by copyright. Buying a book, sticker or PDF doesn’t transfer any of that to you. You’re welcome to share a page or a comic with a link back here. Just keep my name on it.
What’s for whom
Product pages say what each thing is. Bassist Wanted is PG-13, so you may want to read it before you hand it to a kid.
The legal part
I do my best to describe everything accurately and keep the shop working, but the site and the PDFs are provided as they are, without warranties beyond the ones the law requires.
As far as the law allows, I’m not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and the most I’ll owe you for any claim is what you paid for the order involved. Nothing here takes away any rights you have under the laws where you live.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, where I live.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top will change when I do. The terms in place when you placed your order are the ones that apply to it.
